I’m home sick from work today. Well not exactly, technically I’m “working from home”. Either way, I’m not hating it (the being home part, not the sick part). I used to get sick a lot, although then again I used to go out a lot. I’m pretty positive the 2 have a direct correlation. Even if I go out one night (like I did last week) I am about 1000 times more likely to pick up whatever bug is going around. Drinking/staying up late completely diminishes my immune system.
On another note, I’ve been desperately searching for an apartment lately. Suprisingly, it isn’t living with my family that’s driven me over the edge, it’s my commute to and from work in DC. After a two hour drive in rush hour, I get out of the car a cranky, stiff-necked bitch. It’s really upsetting. Half the time I’m too tired and stressed out from my drive to do much more than eat dinner and watch NCIS, which is really helping my physique… Problem is that in order to afford any place even semi-decent I have to find a roommate. This is when having friends that are still in school really doesn’t help you. And of my close friends that are out of school 75% are still living with their parents/don’t hold a steady enough job to pay rent in Arlington or the outskirts of DC and 25% have already moved out and are all set with roommates.
I’m bitching aren’t I? Ok, something positive - David comes home Saturday! Wahooo! And I booked my tickets to go to West Palm Beach, FL for President’s Weekend for my friend Haley’s birthday! Annnnd my Amy’s No Chicken Noodle soup is ready!
