Bon voyage
All alone in London. David left this morning for a plane home. It’s not as dramatic as I’m making it sound, he had always planned to leave a few days before me. He has a band coming to work with him this week. It’s just we have a habit of not wanting to deal with things until they are loud and glaring and tangible on the plates in front of us. So of course now that he has left, I...

Just a heads up!
About to spam my tumblr with Parisian pictures from today… Please evade your eyes if you: A) hate Paris. B) love paris so much you’ll be in a jealous rage. Or C) follow me for pics of my dog.
Remind me of your affliction.
I’d like a chronological exhibit
of the...

Gutter Saint: Issue 2 →
My friend Avis just finished the second issue of her literary/art/bitchin-cool zine, Gutter Saint. She was kind enough to include 3 poems/prose of mine! Be sure to check it out! Thanks again, Avis!

Paris Bound!
I apologize for being so neglectful of my blogs as of late. I really have little of anything interesting to post about. Well, I am leaving for Paris Friday, which is definitely exciting, but doesn’t exactly give me much to write about until I’m there. I’ve been really sick lately, some sort of a headcold/chest congestion thing. Basically my entire head and chest is full of snot....
themisdirected asked: Hi, Jen. When do you leave for Paris? I was simply wondering because if I were to notice that you haven't updated for a while, I would think that you fell into a black hole, or something along those lines. And I just like to know things.... Oh, and sadly I got denied from one course at Sheffield Uni in England, but I applied for another and haven't heard back yet. So hopefully there is...

Something mildly cliche and uneventfully uplifting...
I stopped taking resolutions seriously about the same time I gave up on kicking my candy addiction.
Instead I like to start the new year by honoring the past year and the present’s mere existence. That’s right, here is the world, still turning, a whole year later. And here is my family, and here are my friends, and here am I!! Still (relatively) healthy! Still alive! I’m so...

peggyinthetwilight:
I woke up on the bottom corner of my bed, next to my dog and chocolates from last July. Fell asleep with your face behind my eyes, your fingers on my knees, brushing my thighs.
And well, I’m terrified. Happiness shouldn’t be so easy, walks in the cold, cuddling in a French restaurant booth.

Sometimes this verse is just so comforting.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” (John...

& it's better this time than I've ever known
Pluses & Minuses:
- My car was broken into last night & the jerk (or jerks) stole my work blackberry (good riddance? haha), my iphone charger (odd?), my wallet with credit cards & $80 cash and a bunch of checks from my checkbook (why not just take the whole thing?… I sense a common theme going on here — idiot thieves.)
